2 years flew by

My Monkadoo (AKA son) just turned two years old and I found myself looking back over the years and thinking of all the things I WISH I had done but somehow ran out of time. The list is ridiculously long. It covers things like scrapbooking to "just print the darn pictures and throw them in a generic album so people can see how cute my kids are!" (yes, a photo album [they still sell those, right?] not everyone has a computer to "watch" the kids grow up online).......... Oh, that brings me to my next I Wish I Had Done This...... ...kept a blog so that everyone can see how cute my kids are! (honestly, most people DO have a computer...) And, things like start my business......... clean under the entertainment center because the wood floor looks carpeted under there (ok, the dust hasn't been settling for two years but it has been long enough!) ...... make time for ME. ........... have Girls Night Out with my Punky (AKA daughter) on a regular basis............ have Girls Night Out with my grown up girlfriends..... I really could go on and on but why focus on all that I haven't done......

Here I am, today.

What made me sign on to my blog this evening was something I read on a dear friend's blog. She, herself, had delayed doing some things (like blogging, for example) because she didn't have a theme or one specific focus..... then she realized that being multifaceted is not a negative thing. Not at all!! It is who we are! How boring if we weren't?!? So, if my blog tends to jump around a bit from topic to topic...... or if my posts seem a bit scattered, well, that's me. I AM scattered but my family and friends love me anyway.

So, anyway, back to my Monkadoo......this weekend is his birthday party. I am so excited! I have some fun ideas (if I do say so myself) that I hope turn out as good as I imagine them in my head. I'll be sure to post pics here!! Just to give you a taste of what's to come.... cake balls, cookies, tools, and construction hats.....
